Maybe my wife and I are the only ones in the bi-state area that had no idea whatsoever that there was going to be a storm last night, but WOW, that was amazing.  We woke up at about 12:30 or so if I remember right, and the trees in our back yard were swaying back and forth like a limp noodle.  It practically looked like it was the middle of the day with all of the lightning.  There probably wasn’t a single second that went by without several flashes of lightning.

We decided to get up and get a better look at it and happened to notice that the umbrellas on our patio tables were about to fly away and take the tables with them.  Thankfully, the rain hadn’t started yet, so I ran out and unscrewed the braces and laid the umbrellas on the ground and then I ran around to the front and put my car in the garage.  It barely started to rain then.

From what I could see before I finally went back to sleep, it didn’t rain quite like it did 2 weeks ago (terrential downpour), but it was coming down pretty good.  We lost our power at about 1:00am.  Luckily (thank God) we only lost it for about 1 minute.  I couldn’t imagine all those poor people w/o power today.  It’s suppose to be around 100º.  Yikes!
